A Therapeutic Space
Dr Ally Baker, Clinical Psychologist (DClinPsychol) HCPC registered
Clinical Psychology in a Natural Environment
Sessions can be in person in a relaxing therapy room, walk and talk in the field/riverside or online.
I offer Clinical Psychology sessions across 4 categories:
Mental Health
Working with what might be described as ‘mental health’, emotional or behavioural challenges – stress, depression, anxiety, OCD, sleep, eating patterns, phobias, bereavement, relationship difficulties, trauma etc.
Physical Health Conditions
Living with a physical health condition can have a huge impact on our lives, both practically and emotionally. Psychologists often work with physical health difficulties, for example, heart/cardiac health conditions, breathing difficulties, chronic pain, COPD, surgery, congenital conditions etc. This can help people to cope better and improve their quality of life.
Personal Development
Personal development – changing patterns, becoming the best version of yourself, understanding the impact of past events, changing relationship dynamics, finding out how to be less critical and more compassionate towards ourselves.
Supervision, Groups and Training
Clinical supervision of other therapists, Psychoeducational groups, Workshops/ staff training
Values of a Therapeutic space
Honesty, Openness, Warmth, Compassion, Confidentiality, Empowerment, Non-judgement.
