What to expect
The First Session…
The first session will allow you space to say what’s brought you along and what you are looking for, within the context of a supportive and empathic environment. I will ask a little about your background and current situation. (You will never be asked to talk about anything you’d rather not talk about.) And to think about any hopes or goals for therapy.

The Second Session…
The second session, if you decide to continue, would involve creating a shared formulation of what’s going on. This is often in diagrammatic form, looking at connections, vicious cycles, current situation, relevant past experiences, as well as future directions. This formulation guides what comes next, in terms of suggesting ways to work, number of sessions, type of therapy and helps us to make a plan.
You will be under no obligation to commit to a set number of sessions. Just to decide for yourself if it is going well and you would like to continue.
‘Walk and Talk’ also possible as part of a session, as well as, outdoor grounding, mindfulness or meditation.
My Experience
I have a lot of experience practicing short/brief/focussed therapy, as well as longer term therapy.
